Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno Will Send Corruptors To Remote Islands If Selected

Jurnal Kini. Presidential candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto said that he would send corruptors to remote islands as a form of punishment if elected later. This was stated in the inaugural debate which questioned the steps of the government bureaucracy to eradicate corruption.

"If he (corruptor) corruption must be dealt with as hard as he can. We put it where, on a remote island, tell us to mine sand, "said Prabowo at Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Prabowo saw, the root of the problem why many government officials were corrupt was due to lack of income.

"Their income is lacking, unrealistic," he said. He also continued, if he could be elected later, Prabowo would improve the quality of life of law enforcement officials by raising their income.
The trick is to raise the tax ratio or tax ratio. Prabowo said that Indonesia's current ratio is 10 percent.

"I will return to 16 percent. We will get at least 60 billion dollars, "he said.
So the money coming in will be used to increase the income of law enforcement officials.
"Even though there are benefits, there is still fear in them about the future so that's where there is hesitation and not strong. Get temptations, offers from the private sector to act outside the interests of the people, "said Prabowo.

Prabowo will also closely monitor all legal provisions. In fact, he also plans to expand the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to areas throughout Indonesia.

Not only that, Sandi also chose a solution by fixing the recording of state assets. He then gave an example when he became Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta. For him, at that time, DKI Jakarta managed to get an unqualified predicate (WTP) because it succeeded in revamping the recording of assets.
"Can be used for motivation. If we know our assets, it might be rather difficult to be corrupted, "said Sandiaga.

This initial debate itself starts at 20.00 WIB. The themes in this debate are law, human rights, corruption, and terrorism. The two prospective partners exchanged arguments about the solutions they gave to deal with the four fields.

The debate itself was led by six panelists namely the Chair of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Agus Rahardjo, Professor of International Law Hikmahanto Juwana, Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Bagir Manan, Chair of the National Human Rights Commission Ahmad Taufan damanik, UI State Legal Expert Bivitri Susanti, and Expert Margito's Constitutional Law Thursday.
